Summary of Donor Engagement

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic that signaled bleak fundraising prospects and program performance in 2020, VSF Germany sustained engagements with both existing and prospective donors in the countries of operation to explore opportunities for the scale-up of existing projects and development of new ones to address various needs. Donors were particularly flexible to accommodate adjustments to the program implementation plans to cope with the disruptions and needs occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic. Specific measures that were granted included cost modifications, budget revisions, no-cost extensions, deployment of crisis modifier facility and development of medium to long-term programming designs.
