One Health Day 2025
How much drought can the desert sustain? One health in action - Addressing crises and concflict in changing climate

Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Germany and Médecins du Monde invite you to this year’s One Health Day on 4 November.
Under the theme “How Much Drought Can the Desert Sustain?” we will critically examine the impacts of climate change and conflict on the fragile interconnections between environment, animals, and people – and highlight the role of the One Health approach in addressing these complex realities.
Looking at the Horn of Africa makes it clear: recurring droughts and floods threaten biodiversity, destroy livelihoods, and endanger the health and wellbeing of both humans and animals. One Health can provide crucial impulses to help address crises and conflicts in a rapidly changing world.
